With the holidays upon us, finals are nearing for college students.
For those that balance school, work and all else. Let’s talk about how we can manage these next few weeks.
1: Taking breaks
Taking breaks at a time like this might not seem like something you should do but you should take breaks as much as you can as it will help you be more efficient in your studies.
2: Time management
While we are busy for the next three weeks with wrapping up the semester and preparing for the next one or for those of you that are graduating, take the time to enjoy the holidays with your loved ones.
3: Mental wellness
Do something you enjoy throughout the weeks like watching your favorite show, hanging out with friends or just taking a nap on the couch so you don’t burn out.
4: Seeking help
Be sure to ask for help as these next days come along, ask your friends to help you study, ask your family to give you time and the space needed so you can focus. It’s okay to ask for space even from those we love.
5: Take care of yourself
Be kind to yourself. I wish we could all see how hard we work but we are so self critical of ourselves and don’t see it. Allow yourself to just be, even if that be for a moment. You are worth more than an exam score and your academic achievements.
"If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place." Nora Roberts.
